Animal House
Janta College of Pharmacy maintains a conventional and CPCSEA-approved Animal House facility, complying with the ethical standards laid down by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC), Government of India.
The facility is registered under CPCSEA Registration No. 873/PO/ac/05/CPCSEA dated 19/01/2005.
The Animal House is well-ventilated, hygienic, and air-conditioned, spread over an area of approximately 100 sq. ft., providing a controlled environment suitable for the care and housing of laboratory animals. It has been developed to support pre-clinical studies and experimental pharmacology, in accordance with national and international regulatory guidelines.
The facility ensures the availability of healthy and well-maintained animals for practical learning and research exposure. This enables undergraduate students to gain hands-on understanding of drug action, pharmacological screening, and dose–response studies.
Only experiments duly reviewed and approved by the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee (IAEC) are conducted in the college, ensuring strict adherence to ethical and welfare norms.
